Enjoy your private whale watching charter in Los Gigantes. All the boat for you and your family with a maximum of 10 people on board.
Our 14 metre sailing boat “Mugen” is fully equipped, very spacious and comfortable, perfect for small groups. The goal of the trip is to enjoy the boat, the views, the explanations from the crew and the wildlife of Tenerife, with your loved ones.
The possibility of a successful whale-watching charter in Los Gigantes is very high, above 90%.
We never guarantee whale watching, because they are wild animals in their habitat and many factors can modify their normal behavior.
All year round you can see different species. More than 21 different cetacean species visit the island of Tenerife, considered one of the best places in the world for this activity. With luck, we can get to see different species on the same trip.
We are a Blue Boat
Our boat, company and staff have the permits and training necessary for whale watching including the Blue Flag (required by the Canarian Government), and most important the MITECO – AROC, permission from the government of Spain. Many boats in the island work illegally, please do not support them.
Our trip itinerary
We leave from the harbour of Los Gigantes. The trip is three hours long. The first part of the trip is to find dolphins and whales, if the wind conditions are good we will use the sails (not common in the south of Tenerife).
After the whale watching we will make a stop in a beautiful small bay of Los Gigantes to go snorkeling or swimming. Here we will have some fresh fruit and a tapas style meal with different Spanish and local products (vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options available). After the stop we will return to the port enjoying the great views of the cliffs of Los Gigantes.
What can we see?
In our daily charters we normally find groups of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and short fin pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) both residents around the waters of Tenerife. There is also the possibility to find turtles, the most common species are the loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) and the green turtle (Chelonia mydas).
With a bit of luck, we can see other species of dolphins and the beautiful finback whale. Occasionally we sight sperm whales, mantas, tunas, humpback whales and the shy beaked whales.
We never guarantee the whale sightings because they are wild animals in their habitat, and many factors can affect their normal behaviour. Although the south of Tenerife is considered one of the best places of the world to see dolphins and pilot whales so it’s very strange to finish a charter without any sightings at all.

What’s included
We have a wide variety of drinks onboard (cava, wine, beer, soft drinks and juices).
We do offer snorkeling gear (mask and snorkel, no fins), but if you please, feel free to bring your own gear on board.
At the end of the swim you can enjoy our tapas style lunch made on board with vegetarian, vegan, lactose and gluten-free options.
