Sail along the coast of Los Gigantes in a calm atmosphere with magnificent sunset views of the cliffs.
This is a different charter. We don’t focus so much on whale watching and more on enjoying the views along our cliffs.
We sail along the coast of Los Gigantes for two hours (*length of the charter depends on sunset times) in a calm atmosphere. You will enjoy the views with drinks, fruits and snacks offered on board and we will stop for a short swim. Ending the trip with the sunset.
In the sunset charters, due to the lack of light and the increase of activity in the whales (they are most of the time underwater), it’s more complicated to spot them.
Although we always try, if you wish to see these beautiful animals we recommend the daily charters as you will have better chances.
We are a Blue Boat
Our boat, company and staff have the permits and training necessary for whale watching including the Blue Flag (required by the Canarian Government), and most important the MITECO – AROC, permission from the government of Spain. Many boats in the island work illegally, please do not support them.
Our trip itinerary
We leave from the harbour of Los Gigantes. The trip is two/three hours long*. The first part of the trip is to sail along the cliffs of Los Gigantes and if there’s cetaceans close by we will try to see them. After we will search for a calm cove along the cliffs to have a swim. Later we will enjoy the sunset and head back to the harbour ending the trip. If the wind conditions are good we will use the sails (not common in the south of Tenerife).
What can we see?
In our sunset charters we can occasionally find groups of bottlenose dolphins (Tursiops truncatus) and sometimes rarely short fin pilot whales (Globicephala macrorhynchus) both residents around the waters of Tenerife. There is also the possibility to find turtles, the most common species are the loggerhead turtle (Caretta caretta) and the green turtle (Chelonia mydas).
In the sunset charters, due to the lack of light and the increased activity of our cetaceans (they are most of the time underwater), it’s more complicated to spot them.
We never guarantee the whale sightings because they are wild animals in their habitat, and many factors can affect their normal behaviour. The south of Tenerife is considered one of the best places of the world to see dolphins and pilot whales. It’s very strange to finish a charter without any sightings at all.

What’s included
We have a wide variety of drinks onboard (cava, wine, beer, soft drinks and juices).
We do offer snorkeling gear (mask and snorkel, no fins), but if you please, feel free to bring your own gear on board.
At the end of the swim you can enjoy our fruits and snacks made on board with vegetarian, vegan, lactose and gluten-free options.
