Suggestions to avoid been seasick

If you’ve ever experienced car or boat sickness, the following tips can help a lot.

It’s highly recommended to take dimenhydrinate, Dramamine, or the commercially known drug Biodramina in Spain (with caffeine is better). You have to take it well in advance, even an hour before the boat leaves . If you tend to get seasick, always read the package insert. If you take it right on the boat, it won’t do much good and its effect will be minimal.

For breakfast or lunch, it’s a good idea to eat a few hours before the boat leaves, don’t come on an empty stomach, and avoid the following:

Milk, acidic fruit juice, water, or tea. Drinking too much liquid can help with seasickness. More food and less liquid are better. For example, Coca-Cola, apple juice, or sports drinks are good options as they are absorbed quickly.

With food, it’s best to eat easily digestible items like toast with jam. Bananas and apples are also good. Avoid high-fat foods or foods with a lot of protein

Parking at Los Gigantes

There is parking inside the port of Los Gigantes and the price is 2.00 € per hour. The parking can be full on holidays, week ends and high season, mostly at mid day (11:00 until 17:00).

We recommend to come with time in advance. Tenerife can have heavy traffic and parking can be difficult, especially outside the harbour.

Here are some free parking spots that are around 5-10 minute walk away from the harbour, maybe you can find a parking spot over here:
